The June meeting was held at the charming home of Martha and Ivan Wells.   After a social hour and fine food, the meeting was called to order by President Gary at 5:45 p.m.

 

  Brad Ford and his wife, Bethany were present to judge Pinot Gris.  Brad is winemaker at Illahee Vineyards and Winery.  We are always delighted to see Jack and Cheryl Lensch who were also visitors. 

 

  The bills were read as   $255 for insurance, $50 to Shari Coons for artwork for poster and $86 to Gary for printing.

 

Gary announced that he has an inexpensive source for labels.

 

There have been several inquiries regarding the wine competition and we are getting a little press.  We will each receive emails to forward to friends regarding the competition. Also, for more information we can go to the website and download information.    Final date has not been yet determined and will be announced shortly.

 

The July meeting will be held July 16th at Russ and Jan's at 4 P. M.  Directions will be forthcoming.

 

We moved to the patio for the judging of the Pinot Gris.   There were 4 wines that were judged.  Ed was first prize winner. 

 

The meeting was adjourned and members could enjoy the lovely grounds and cottage gardens of Ivan and Martha.
