Next meeting is at Judy and Bobs home at 4:00 pm on April 21th Minutes from march......... The March meeting of WVAWS was held at Willamette Valley Vineyards at 2 p.m. After a lovely social hour and marvelous cuisine, President Gary called the meeting to order at 3:30. WVV was very kind to set up the Pinot room with nice table service. Gary said there was $947.30 in the treasury per the report of the treasurer. Apparently there are more funds to go into the treasury. Ralph is going to chair the wine competition. august is the preferred month. Weekend is to be determined yet. Poster distribution was discussed. Members preferred to keep meetings starting at 4 P.M. Chris Coon is going to check with Chemeketa to see what the needs are as far as our scholarship. A portion of our wine competition will be given to the wine scholarship, depending on funds and other needs. It was suggested that we have speakers at our meetings for educational purposes in order to shore up our membership. We seem to have been losing members faster than we have gained new members. Members will get back to Gary with suggestions regarding locations and speaker's fees. After some discussion regarding topping off barrels, the members did some wine tasting of one of Chuck's wines. Meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Roberta Martin Secretary |
