Location: Willamette Valley Vineyards.

November Meeting:  The meeting was held at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Don Crank the winemaker for Willamette spoke on evaluating and judging wines using a 20 point scale. Thank you Don for a great talk!

Russ is still looking for suggestions of speakers and locations to hold our meetings.

December’s meeting will be our Christmas Party. So plan to come and have a good time. We will be having a “White Elephant Gift Exchange” so please bring a gift to exchange and join in on the fun.
Gary is planning to hold the drawing from the non winning raffle tickets for that outstanding bottle of wine. You don’t have to be present to win. There will be no raffle this meeting it will come back next time. If you have items to donate please go ahead and bring them.

Wine Trading Pool: We will be having a wine trading pool at this meeting. All who want to participate please bring one of your own bottles or a $10.00 or higher commercial bottle to trade. If you have not experienced the pool yet I suggest you give it a try. It is a good way to expand your wine horizons.

Location: The meeting will be held at Eola Hills Wine Cellars 501 South Pacific Hwy 99W Rickreall OR 97371. See www.eolahillswinery.com for driving directions.

ACTIVITY CHAIRMAN: Wally Darling, is our Activity Chairman, so if any of you out there know of any activities that are coming up that may be of interest to our membership please email or call him. Check your Society Directory, on the members only link, for his email address and phone number.

Your President,
Russ Burrows
Professional Wine Drinker

PLEASE RSVP
:  (Russ Burrows) It only takes a few minutes to send me an email.  It's important to RSVP so the host will have some idea of how many people to expect and whether I need to make a request for additional chairs and/or tables.

Be sure to bring to the meeting:

A bottle of your own wine or a commercial wine valued at $10+ for taste – this is your admittance to the meeting(no two buck chuck)

I want to suggest that everyone bring an entrée and a small side dish or dessert OR an entrée casserole (to avoid ending up with only side dishes).

Your own wine glass, paper plate and eating utensils.          Photos of club activities and newspaper clippings of WVAWS announcements for our scrapbook.  Note:  For the website I would also like to display pictures of our members in any wine related activity, e.g. if you visit a winery or wine dinner/tasting, etc.  These pictures need to be sent to our Webmaster, Brant Dutton.  When sending try and keep the pictures size to 300K or less with a jpg extension.
